Focus Area — ERP & Business Systems

The right ERP can transform your business. The wrong one will drain it.

ERPNext and Odoo have made enterprise-grade systems accessible for every SME. But software without a finance-first implementation plan just automates your existing mess. We bring the CFO perspective — process design before configuration, chart-of-accounts before modules, outcomes before features.

Systems we work with

Built for Indian SMEs — not enterprise.

We focus on the platforms that deliver 80% of the value at 20% of the cost of Oracle or SAP.

ERPNext / Frappe

India's most popular open-source ERP — manufacturing, trading, services. Highly customisable, strong local support, GST-ready. Ideal for ₹10–200 Cr businesses moving beyond Tally.

  • Manufacturing & inventory
  • Multi-location, multi-company
  • Project & job costing
  • GST & TDS compliant

Odoo

A modular, modern platform that scales from invoicing to full ERP. Best for businesses wanting a unified system — CRM, operations, inventory and finance in one ecosystem.

  • CRM-to-cash workflow
  • E-commerce & POS integration
  • Flexible module selection
  • Strong reporting & BI

Tally → Migration

Thousands of Indian businesses run on Tally Prime — a great accounting tool that limits operational visibility. We manage the transition to ERPNext or Odoo without data loss or business disruption.

  • Data migration & validation
  • Chart-of-accounts mapping
  • Parallel-run management
  • Staff training & handover

The CFO difference

Why a CFO-led implementation outperforms a vendor-led one.

ERP vendors and implementation partners optimise for successful go-live. A CFO optimises for business outcomes. That means asking different questions at every stage of the project.

  • Chart of accounts designed for management reporting — not just statutory compliance
  • Cost centres and profit centres mapped to how you actually manage the business
  • Approval workflows aligned to your real delegation matrix
  • MIS dashboards configured before go-live — not as an afterthought
  • Finance team trained to close the month in the new system — not just run transactions
How we engage

Three ways we add value in your ERP journey.

01

ERP Selection Advisory

If you're evaluating platforms, we run a structured selection — business process review, requirements mapping, vendor shortlisting and a decision framework. You choose the right system, not the most convincing salesperson.

02

Implementation Oversight

Once a system is chosen, we act as the client-side CFO on the project — defining the chart of accounts, approving configurations, validating data migration, reviewing UAT and managing the go-live. Your interests, not the vendor's.

03

Post-Go-Live Optimisation

Already live on ERPNext or Odoo but not getting the reporting you need? We audit your configuration, fix the chart of accounts, build the MIS reports and train the finance team to use the system to its potential.

Case study · Manufacturing · ₹40 Cr turnover

Tally to ERPNext — and ₹3 Cr freed in the process.

A mid-size manufacturer with three product lines, 80+ SKUs and a Tally setup that couldn't show inventory by location, job or product line.

The problem: Management had no visibility into which product lines were profitable, where inventory was sitting or what the working capital cycle looked like by SKU. Everything was in Tally — but nothing was actionable.

What we did: Led the migration from Tally to ERPNext — redesigned the chart of accounts with product-line cost centres, set up job costing, mapped inventory locations and built a management dashboard. Parallel run for 60 days, clean go-live.

The outcome: Within 90 days, the business could see slow-moving and dead inventory by SKU. Acting on that data freed over ₹3 Cr in working capital. Profitability reporting by product line became a standard monthly review.
